Liberty University

Get a Bachelor of Science degree and be eligible for a Restricted ATP in as little as 1000 hours! Financial aid may be available for those who qualify. Information on the Bachelor of Science in Aviation is available at Liberty University.

The following courses are offered within the Bachelor of Science in Aviation program:

  • Private Pilot Certificate – AVIA220 & 225 – Can be completed as a Free Elective or prior to enrollment.
  • Instrument Rating – AVIA320*
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate – AVIA325, 326 & 327*
  • Commercial Single Engine Add-On Rating – AVIA331*
  • Flight Instructor Certification – AVIA420*
  • Flight Instructor Instrument Certification – AVIA422 (1 Credit)* or AVIA423 (3 Credits)*
  • Multi Engine Instructor Certification – AVIA441 (1 Credit)* or AVIA443 (3 Credits)*

* Courses noted with the asterisk (*) above are the only courses authorized by the Department of Veterans Affairs (“VA”) for application of GI Bill® and/or VA funding by Web Enabled Approved Management System (“WEAMS”) institutions.

Rochester Air Center is not currently authorized by Liberty University or the Virginia State Approving Agency for Veterans Education and Training to accept VA education benefits (including the Montgomery GI Bill®, Post-9/11 GI Bill®, or Yellow Ribbon Programs) as a Flight Training Affiliate. We are actively working with these organizations to obtain reauthorization.

Rochester Air Center is authorized by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the New York State Department of Veterans Services to accept VA benefits directly as an FAA-approved Part 141 flight school. Veterans interested in using VA benefits for flight training outside of the Liberty University Flight Affiliate Program are encouraged to call our office at 585-328-8839 for more information.
